Founded by Dervla James, of the Pepper Pot in Dublin, the café is a breath of fresh air to West Sligo, serving up freshly baked goods, all-day breakfast, salads and delicious lunches. With views out over the Atlantic Ocean, it’s the perfect stop-off point for those exploring the Wild Atlantic Way.
The menu at Pudding Row features an array of artisanal breads and pastries, bagels, treacle and seeded soda bread, focaccia and other yeasted breads, baked fresh by Dervla each day in the café. Ingredients are sourced locally, and organic where possible.
Other elements on the menu include: free-range chicken with homemade anchovy and Parmesan mayo, smoked bacon lardons and wild rocket, harissa and coriander hummus with seasonal roast veg and fried Macroom Halloumi, spiced tomatoes and cannellini beans on toast with a fried egg, along with some of her Pepper Pot favourites; the Roasted Pear, Bacon and Cheddar Sandwich on Crusty White Bread, Creamy Scrambled Eggs with Organic Burren Smoked Salmon.
Located at Easkey House, in the heart of Easkey Village, the café is housed above the local surf club and boasts panoramic views of Easkey Castle and out across the Atlantic Ocean.
The café is bright and airy with the interior wooden features designed by Jonny Walsh and Colin Richie of Mud and Wood, using floor boards from the old school house in Dromore West.
