McCambridge's is a wonderful mix of select grocer, coffee shop, delicatessen and specialist off-licence downstairs, with upstairs offering a beautiful light and airy casual style restaurant. The finest of local ingredients are used here to a produce a range of modern Irish dishes with a Mediterranean influence. Irish meat, seafood, cheese and charcuterie (including our own baked ham) feature on all the menus. The restaurant space is modern and contemporary mixed with period features such as high ceilings, architraving and items dating back to when the business first opened in 1925. Service is warm and friendly.
The food emporium downstairs has a great range of Irish and international cheeses and meats, a huge selection of Irish confectionery and is a must see 'foodie' destination in the city. The take-away sandwich bar is a busy hub of activity where sandwiches are custom made to order. The European style coffee bar has great views out onto the main pedestrianised street, or you can sit in the outside seating area and watch the world go by.
The wine shop selection features boutique wines from all over the world, with particular emphasis on continental wines. An added bonus is that any wine can be chosen to accompany your meal upstairs, with just a small corkage charge added. Whiskies are a speciality here, with the widest range of irish and Scotch whiskies in the West of Ireland.
McCambridge's has a unique location on Shop Street, next door to the historic Lynch's Castle. The busy pedestrian street is the hub of the city, which can be admired from the large picture windows while enjoying a glass of wine, a craft beer or dining on delicious local fare.
