The Dough Bros is a contemporary take on the traditional wood fired pizzerias found in Naples, but with a Galway twist. The fundamentals, i.e ‘00’ Flour, San Marzano tomato and Buffalo Mozzarella are imported form Naples, Italy. The rest of the ingredients are got from the best local suppliers that the people of Galway are blessed to have right on their doorstep. But The Dough Bros is not about imitating pizzerias from Italy or anywhere else for that matter, sure where is the fun in that? It is about being original and creative, very creative. Not many places will offer you a Tandoori Pizza, Prawn Po Boy, Duck Hoisin or Caesar Pizza, but The Dough Bros will. They even have their own craft beer to wash your pizza down with. What's the name, you ask? The Dough Brews of course. Their quest to take pizza to another level has recently been vindicated, when they were listed as The Top 100 Restaurants in Ireland. Not bad for a couple of lads who started out in a van just 4 years ago.
But it doesn’t stop there. Other awards such as the Best Restaurant in Galway, Best Newcomer at the Irish Restaurant Awards, holding the No1 Spot on Trip Advisor (out of 356) restaurants in Galway are further ‘proof’ that their dough is up to scratch.
When the bros themselves think of pizza, they think of family, fun, friends, and everyone getting stuck in and having an all-round good time, so they have created a dining experience to match. As the Bros say themselves, It's Fun Dining Not Fine Dining.
