Ideal for all walking levels and age groups, this 5.5km greenway connects the pretty town of Blessington with 18th-century mansion, Russborough House.

This nifty 90 minute walk guides you through some of County Wicklow’s renowned beauty spots.

Leading you from idyllic Blessington along the southern shore of the magnificent Blessington Lakes/Poulaphouca Reservoir, you’ll explore verdant forest and woodlands.

Easy underfoot and flat all the way, this lush linear greenway’s terrain is a mix of forest roads, boardwalk, tarmac and gravel paths. It also includes a short section of footpath along the N81.

Enjoy exceptional lakeside and Wicklow Mountain views and keep your eyes peeled for where the Blessington Greenway crosses paths with an ancient Medieval ringfort.

Finishing at Russellstown Bay, adjacent to historic Russborough House, the Palladian mansion’s tea rooms are just the place to reward yourself with a hot drop after your walk.
