Avoca Kilmacanoge is a beautiful place to visit while exploring Wicklow, the garden of Ireland. Here, you will find a wonderful retail store and food market, a garden centre and nursery, the self-service Sugar Tree Café, and the stunning table service restaurant, the Fern House.

The Food Market at Avoca Kilmacanoge boasts a large bakery section with freshly baked breads, scones and cakes, a gourmet deli counter, Grab and Go offering, a full cheese and charcuterie counter and much more.

The self-service Sugar Tree Café is open daily for breakfast and lunch, and of course coffee, tea and sweet treats are on hand at any time. As well as plenty of indoor seating, there is also a stunning pavilion-style veranda here, too, where you can sit and enjoy views of the beautiful gardens, and the Monterey Cypress tree, which dates as far back as 1881.

With everything from men’s and women’s fashion to homeware and gifts, the retail store at Kilmacanoge has something for everyone. True to the quintessential ‘treasure trove’ Avoca shopping experience, you’re sure to find something you’ll fall in love with. They have an extensive range of their famous throws here too, which are all woven in our Avoca mill just half an hour’s drive from the store.

The Fern House at Avoca Kilmacanoge is a beautiful, light-filled table-service restaurant, built in the style of a Victorian glass house. Open for breakfast and lunch seaven days a week, they also offer a wonderful dine-by-night experience here on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. In true Avoca style, the focus at the Fern House is on delicious, seasonal food, cooked to perfection by their passionate team of chefs.

There’s plenty for garden enthusiasts and nature-lovers here, too, with an Avoca nursery and garden shop bursting with beautiful plants, flowers, trees, plant pots and garden accessories. The passionate garden shop team are always happy to help and give advice to any budding gardeners passing through. What’s more, they also have a beautiful Joeanna Caffrey florists here too, so you can pick up a pretty bouquet for any occasion.
