The parade will begin at 3pm and will showcase some of Gorey’s best local organisations, businesses, charities and sporting groups.

Cathaoirleach of Wexford County Council Cllr Pip Breen said: ‘Sustainability is becoming ever more important and we should be celebrating Ireland’s green credentials as we celebrate our national day.’ This year, trophies will be awarded for the best presented floats, groups and displays. The judging panel will be awarding additional marks for the creative use of recycled materials.
