StepsBackThruTime Guided Walking Tour Experiences conduct guided tours in stunning Kilmacthomas or Dungarvan in County Waterford. The walks include local biodiversity, geology, wellbeing sections, heritage and more for you to indulge your curiosity and your senses. Food tours are also available at times.

StepsBackThruTime Guided Walking Tour Experiences let you explore the idyllic harbour town of Dungarvan or scenic Kilmacthomas Village with a professional tour guide. Each place has a its own collection of intriguing local characters and stories that reflect Irish history and customs, set in scenic surroundings.

These looped walking routes are suitable for all abilities, from age 4 years and up, though gravel paths and cobblestones may not suit everyone. Groups are kept small, a minimum of one person up to 15 people.

The Kilmacthomas tour is a 5km route that takes in ten points of historical interest, including the impressive viaduct, and lasts 2 to 3 hours. This tour starts at the Greenway car park and is mostly level, with one gentle decline.

The Dungarvan route is 2.5km and meets outside the doors of the Waterford County Museum. This route covers ten locations including the Dungarvan Castle and two churches. It lasts 1.5 to 2 hours and has no declines or inclines.

StepsBackThruTime Guided Walking Tour Experiences occasionally offer food tours in Waterford City or Dungarvan Town that will take you around winding streets and entertain you with stories of the Neolithic hunter gatherers who settled around the harbour and the history of local food production, all the way up to the modern day. These tours incorporate three luxurious food stops.
