Located approximately 15km south east of Waterford City, County Waterford, Counsellors' Strand, Dunmore East beach is in a small sheltered cove, enjoyed by both the locals and tourists.
At Counsellors' Strand, Dunmore East, visitors can enjoy swimming or underwater activities such as snorkelling in the sheltered and picturesque coves. Visitors are advised to be wary of the tide, which comes right in and covers the beach.
The beach is life guarded throughout the bathing season, which runs from June until the end of August. Please note that the beach is accessible via a steep slipway that is not suitable for wheelchair users.
There are excellent facilities such as toilets, a bar with a terrace that overlooks the beach and a large car park.
