Lough Boora Discovery Park, County Offaly is a family friendly landscape full of biodiversity, art and archaeology. With walking, cycling, an outdoor sculpture park, Mesolithic settlement and fairy trail with cycle links to the Grand Canal.

Children can let their imagination unfold and explore a labyrinth of wild willow and enclosed passages while on the lookout for the 14 resident fairies, fairy doors, wishing chairs and wishing stones. Watch out for fairy circles and toadstools along the way.

The Fairy Trail Loop is an addition to the trails at Lough Boora Discovery Park, County Offaly. Lough Boora Fairy Avenue comprises a network of trails within the forest.

The 1.5km trail begins behind the pavilion and meanders in a westerly direction with exit points at the giant bog root and further west on the path to the Mesolithic settlement. Depending on the number of fairy sightings, it usually takes families about 90 minutes to complete.
