Castle Leslie Estate, Glaslough, County Monaghan, is set on 1,000 acres of magnificent scenery including woodlands, lakes and rivers, and offers memorable horse riding holiday experiences for riding enthusiasts of all levels and boasts up to 300 cross country jumps.

As one of Europe’s finest equestrian playgrounds, Castle Leslie Equestrian Centre, Glaslough, County Monaghan, is set in undulating Irish countryside, dotted with ancient woodlands and glittering lakes. The estate offers an idyllic setting for outdoor activity and adventure and is the perfect place to discover the thrill of exploring the beautiful Irish countryside on horseback.

Castle Leslie Equestrian Centre welcome riders of all abilities and age groups, from aged seven years and above. Expert tuition, gentle hacks and exhilarating cross country rides are all available as well as three and five day equestrian holidays.

Outdoor facilities include 300 cross country jumps with water complex, from knee high to knee tremblers, 34km of bridleways and a 1.6km long all weather gallop. Stabling is provided for up to 56 horses, with a mechanical horse for beginners. A 50m x 30m indoor arena has indoor cross country fences. Tiered seating allows 200 spectators to view the arenas and there is also a private dining and viewing area. For those with an interest in dressage there is a 20m x 50m dressage arena. Sand gallops, SJI approved show jumps, and a horse walker are also provided, with lorry and trailer parking on site. After a ride out you can avail of the lounge and showering facilities. The centre is B.H.S, S.J.I and A.I.R.E approved.

Whether you are a beginner or an experienced rider, Castle Leslie Equestrian Centre is the place for all. Visitors can combine a gentle hack or exhilarating cross country ride with one of the accommodation choices available, which include the castle, the lodge, or a self-catering old stable mews, perfect for groups and families.

Castle Leslie Equestrian Centre located at Castle Leslie Estate in County Monaghan is only 80 minutes from Dublin Airport and 60 minutes from Belfast Airport.
