SÚIL The Loss of The Light will take place on Clare Island Co Mayo in collaboration with Clare Island Development Company and funded by Creative Ireland through Creative Mayo, Mayo Co Council. It will commemorate the decomissioning of the Lighthouse on Clare Island on Sept 29th 1965, almost 60 years to the day.

This is the 7th SÚIL in the SÚIL series of sculptural sensory walks by Artist Clare Mc Laughlin, that only take place on islands. It has taken place twice on Sherkin Island, Antigua, Cape Clear, Rathlin Island and Cobh.
