The Historic Turlough Park Vine
Planted in 1865 by the Fitzgerald family, the Turlough Park grapevine still produces grapes today, marking its 160th year.
Join viticulturist Andrew Watson for a fascinating talk on the vine's history, the rare Foster's Seedling grapes it produces, and its life cycle. Participants will also have the chance to prune the vine under Andrew's guidance, gaining hands-on skills.
This free event is the first in a 2025 series exploring the vine's life cycle. Suitable for adults, booking is essential as spaces are limited. Email BookingsCountryLife@museum.ie or call +353 94 90 31751 to reserve your spot.
Note: Participants must bring vine pruning shears and eye protection.
