Bernhard Lang’s The Cold Trip Part 1

The Cold Trip is a meta-composition based on Winterreise. A hommage to Schubert. The first part for voice and 4 guitars features songs I-XII. The voice is tracing the lost lines of the songs, sometimes touching them as if remembering.

Louth Contemporary Music Society, performed by Daisy Press and the Aleph Guitar Quartet.

A new Winterreise: to re-walk an ancient pathway, overwriting it with new trails: a hommage to Schubert, an exploration, a time-trip into the unknown. The Cold Trip is a meta-composition based on Winterreise. The first part for voice and 4 guitars features songs I-XII.
