Curragh Chase - Glenisca Trail
Askeaton, Co. Limerick
Free to visit
Paid car parking
A delightful 3.8km loop through picturesque Curragh Chase Forest Park, expect mature woodland, lakeside views and cliff walls in this green corner of County Limerick.

Traversing Curragh Chase Forest Park’s mature broadleaf and conifer woodlands and skirting stunning Glenisca Lough, this one hour loop circles anti-clockwise.

Mainly flat underfoot, the Glenisca Trail covers forest track and path and is occasionally narrow and uneven in places.

A pleasant trail, it takes walkers through fascinating landscape. From some hundred year old Yew woodland, an old cave and limestone outcrops to craggy cliff walls.

Curragh Chase - Glenisca Trail is ideal for families, with plenty of picnic tables and two playgrounds in the park grounds, and for walkers looking to connect with raw natural beauty.

The park’s De Vere Café is the place to stop for a coffee or a treat, while nearby Kilcornan’s pubs offer more refreshment and warm welcomes after your loop.
