The 15m-high Glencar Waterfall is situated near Glencar Lake, 11km west of Manorhamilton, County Leitrim. This famous Leitrim landmark served as an inspiration to William Butler Yeats.

Glencar Waterfall is situated near Glencar Lake, 11km west of Manorhamilton in County Leitrim. It is particularly impressive after rain and can be viewed from a lovely wooded walk. There are more waterfalls visible from the road, although none is quite as romantic as this one which is mentioned by WB Yeats in his poem ‘The Stolen Child’.

The facilities on site include a car park, picnic area, public toilets, playground, tea room and Tourist Information Point.
