A remarkable history and a commitment to quality shapes everything at Cushendale Woollen Mills, County Kilkenny. Since 1778, their fibre artisans have collected local Irish fleece to dye, card, spin and weave, preserving those skills and crafts which are part of the national heritage. The craft of weaving was first established in this area in 1204 at Duiske Abbey, also known as Graiguenamanagh Abbey. The local tradition was continued by the Cushen family, whose deep knowledge and craftsmanship over the last 240 years has given Cushendale textiles their distinctive colours and quality.
