The Kenmare Lace and Design Centre, located in Kenmare, County Kerry, exhibits antique lace and conducts lacemaking demonstrations. You can also purchase different types of Irish Lace, lacemaking materials and general haberdashery.

The Kenmare Lace and Design Centre is the hub of a long established lacemaking industry in Kenmare, County Kerry. Here you will find locally made lace, lacemaking kits, lacemaking materials and lace books for purchase.

You can watch live demonstrations of Kenmare Lace, Irish Crochet Lace, Carrickmacross Lace, Borris Lace and Bobbin Lace. Demonstrations can be conducted on demand when demonstrators are available. Group demonstrations must be pre-arranged.

Here you can also explore a display of beautiful antique lace from the Poor Clare Convent in Kenmare and some of the original exquisite designs for lacemaking painted by the nuns in the 1800s.
