The Town Hall Theatre features a 400 seat main auditorium. It also incorporates the 48 seat studio space at Courthouse Square and the multipurpose Black Box performance space on Dyke Road nearby.
These spaces hold an extensive and eclectic mix of theatre, music, dance, film, comedy and family shows year round. Each year the Town Hall Theatre is the epicentre of activity for many of Galway's key festivals and cultural events. These include the celebrated Galway International Arts Festival and Galway Film Fleadh in July, Cúirt International Festival of Literature in April, Baboró International Arts Festival for Children and Galway Comedy Festival in October, to name a few. The Druid Theatre Company perform many of their productions at Town Hall Theatre.
