Salthill Beach is located near Galway City and is within a Special Area of Conservation (SAC). The beach consists of some sandy and some pebbled smaller beaches which are separated by rocky outcrops.
The beach is approximately 2km from Galway City and is accessible by foot. Alternatively there are many buses which service the area.
The beach is lifeguarded during the bathing season and more information can be found on the notice board located at the beach.
Stroll along the world famous “Promenade” with uninterrupted views of Galway Bay, the Burren Mountains and the Aran Islands.
