**Connemara National Park Visitor Centre, Audio Visual Building and Café will be closed from Wednesday, 30th October, until further notice due to essential roof works on their buildings. All trails will remain open.**
Explore Connemara National Park and admire the incredible scenery where rugged mountains dominate the dramatic landscape. Spot the towering peaks of Benbaun, Bencullagh, Benbrack and Muckanaght, part of the famous Twelve Bens.
Meander along the walking trails at your own pace, or set off on a challenging mountain hike. Stunning vistas from the summit of Diamond Hill include the distant islands of Inishbofin, Inishturk and Inishshark, and the turreted peak of magnificent Kylemore Abbey. Wander down one of four scenic routes where you'll meet Connemara ponies, red deer, and birds including skylarks, stonechats and peregrine falcons.
See ruined houses, old sheep pens, an ice house, and Tobar Mweelin, a well which was formerly used to supply water to Kylemore Castle. After, drop into the Visitor Centre which features exhibitions, an audio visual show and a seasonal tea room.

Hill walking in the park can only be recommended for walkers with suitable outdoor clothing, footwear and equipment.
