Portumna, Co. Galway
CaToCa Fine Food is located in the newly restored horse stables at Portumna Castle and Demesne occupying a magnificent location on the shores of Lough Derg on the River Shannon.

CaToCa Fine Food pride themselves on using artisan and home baked product which is fresh, local, wild and, where possible, organic. They are a member of Laois Taste producers with their hand picked cold pressed apple juice from heritage trees. The menu offers customers a wide range of options from breakfast and light lunches to afternoon tea.

The dramatic approach has three formal enclosures which contain geometric and regular plantings, an old rose garden and a walled kitchen garden where a lot of the produce is used in the tea rooms.

The site is managed and run by The Office of Public works. Archaeological and historical research, among other major conservation and partial restoration works, continue to be carried out by a team of skilled craftsmen and women.
