Science Week Workshops: Forgotten Corners of A City
Dublin City, Co. Dublin
9 November - 16 November 2025
Family friendly
For Science Week 2025, join artists Duffy Mooney Sheppard and Jane Groves. for an inspiring, hands-on workshop where you will explore the small corners and crevices of wild nature in your area.

Think of those little patches of earth by a streetlamp, cracks in old walls, or overgrown strips of grass. They might look messy or forgotten, but on closer inspection, these spaces can be rare safe havens for insects, animals and plants in our bustling urban locality. With an artist’s eye, we’ll explore the beauty in these small, wild spaces and see just how important they are for the city’s ecosystem. Through drawing, discovery and play, this workshop aims to ignite a passion and understanding for the everyday insects, animals and plants we live alongside in Dublin.
