Donegal Music Trails, based in Magheroarty County Donegal, specialise in boat journeys and other events through the Donegal Gaeltacht, where you experience local traditional music, stories, culture, food and more. All tours can be provided completely in Irish. Full day, afternoon, evening or overnight trips can be arranged.

Discover the best of Donegal culture, music, and history during an excursion to some of the most scenic spots in Ireland, with amazing views around the islands of Inisbofin, Inisdooey, Inisbeg and Tory Island. Donegal Music Trails offer something for everyone with bus trips, boat trips and cultural events.

Sail around the local islands of Donegal while enjoying a prosecco, afternoon tea, evening sunset cruise or a short music session at sea. During all boat trips, enjoy entertainment from renowned Donegal musicians, singers and storytellers, while glimpsing local wildlife such as dolphins, basking sharks, puffins, seals and maybe more.

Full day trips offer the opportunity to explore local fishing, enjoy live music sessions on Tory Island, try out Donegal style dancing and sample locally made whiskey. The stunning cliffs and caves around the islands are complemented by a rich and varied folklore of Colm Cille and his monks, shipwrecks, poitín smuggling and tales of violent storms.

Other offerings include overnight packages with dinner, bed and breakfast or personalised private beach picnics. Kayaking and snorkelling can be added. All events and tours can be tailored to each individual booking. The minimum group size for a boat trip is twelve people. Tours depart from either Magheroarty or Downings.
