Rainy days
Visit where Jameson is made at Midleton Distillery Experience, County Cork. This whiskey experience takes you beyond process and taste, and brings you to the very essence of Irish whiskey. Home to seven iconic Irish whiskey brands which are Jameson, Redbreast, Powers, Midleton Very Rare, The Spot Whiskeys, Method and Madness and Knappogue Castle, the passion behind every drop lives here. Taste, learn, shop and take in the magic of the Midleton Distillery Experience.

At Midleton Distillery Experience there is a choice of exciting bars, a café and dedicated tasting rooms. Be immersed in a world of rich heritage, craftsmanship and unforgettable stories at the heart and soul of Irish whiskey.

Enjoy one of the fully guided distillery tours, a premium whiskey tasting, a cask opening experience or an extended duration tour where you will go behind the scenes across the historic 15 acre site. Come face to face with the largest pot still in the world, visit the micro distillery, stroll through a live maturation warehouse and sample some of the world’s most awarded Irish whiskeys.

Shake and stir up your visit on their cocktail making masterclass, privately hosted in the upper floors within the original distillery buildings. Under the tutelage of a mixologist and using locally sourced ingredients, learn the art and enjoy the craic of creating specially curated cocktails. Receive a complimentary recipe book to take away as a keepsake.

For the whiskey connoisseur, deep dive into the grain to glass production process on the Discoverer Academy experience, hosted at a training facility located between the Old and New Midleton Distilleries.

The Distillery Shop features the entire Midleton Distillery Collection whiskey portfolio including distillery exclusive bottles with a selection available for personalisation. Browse a range of branded clothing, glassware, and giftware for any occasion. The Whiskey Vault provides the opportunity to purchase rare and special edition releases, with a personal shopping service offered.

The Malthouse Café serves morning pastries, lunch and afternoon snacks. It incorporates an external patio area for visitors to enjoy on dry and sunny days.

No ticket or admission fees apply for the café, retail and bar spaces. Pre booking for all whiskey experiences is recommended.

Beyond the distillery gates, explore East Cork’s beautiful landscape, showcasing many additional visitor experiences, picturesque towns and villages, as well as great food.
