With so many glorious venues on the doorstep, Kinsale Town is a mecca for tourists and Irish alike who flock here for the wonderful food. For the food fanatic, this is a particular treat, having a rich hinterland and coastline which provides Kinsale Food Tours, County Cork, with the freshest and most fabulous food and people.

The Kinsale Food Tours was the brainchild of Suzanne Burns, who returned to Ireland after over a decade living abroad. She set up the tours combining her experience as a marine biologist, wildlife guide and serious foodie. She is passionate about showcasing the wonderful food, producers and venues of Kinsale Town. The tours have become renowned both locally and internationally, having been featured extensively in Irish, UK, US and European media.

The Kinsale Food Tours showcase Kinsale in three completely different ways.

The Town Food Tour takes in a selection of different eateries. Kinsale Food Tours start with lighter fare for their tastings, experiencing a range of local foods. As the tour goes on, you will have more substantial fare and round it off with some artisanal sweet treats. During the tour, hear stories about the food and meet some of the fascinating characters who make it. All food and one hot drink are included in each tour. The town tours last approximately 2.5 hours and take place in hail, rain or shine. The tour is akin to a walking meal, so come hungry.

The Foraging and Picnic Tour is ideal for the outdoor enthusiast and foodie. There are foraging trips as part of an outdoor food tour where guests will visit the coast and learn about edible seaweeds, shellfish and plants. A gourmet picnic is provided as part of this tour and incorporates some pre prepared wild food by some of the local producers. If the weather is bad, Kinsale Food Tours still run the foraging tour and give you the picnic to take away for later consumption. The tour lasts around 2 to 2.5 hours and is tide dependent.

For the Private Yacht Picnic Charter, Kinsale Food Tours teamed up with Sovereign Sailing for this luxury tour. Their combined expertise and love for all things food and oceanic are brought together on these Private Yacht Picnic Charters. Relax while your private skipper sails you out of beautiful Kinsale Harbour. Enjoy a gourmet picnic and learn more about the food and local wonders with your personal guide. Dock at a scenic spot for a sumptuous picnic, take a dip or relax on deck. The choice is yours. These sailing trips typically last 3 to 4 hours.

All tour times are subject to availability so please check their website for up to date prices and bookings.
