A pretty little village nestled between Bandon, Kinsale and Clonakilty in idyllic West Cork, Kilbrittain’s Castle Walk takes just one hour to complete. Relatively flat underfoot, this walk ascends 80m overall.
A truly scenic loop, the route heads north around quiet country roads before returning down to Kilbrittain village, through the village park and to the castle gates. It continues again to the village along your choice of the main road or via the village park.
This pleasant 3.7km route showcases magnificent views of local woodland and picturesque Kilbrittain Castle as well as vistas over Coolmain Bay on the south coast.
Kilbrittain village, and its neighbouring areas, are home to some friendly pubs and cafés - perfect for toasting your walking trail in.
