Cobh Rebel Walking Tours was established in April 2017 by local author and historian Kieran McCarthy whose book, Republican Cobh & East Cork Volunteers (Nonsuch publishers 2008), details the history of the period in the area.
The organisers of Cobh Rebel Walking Tours, in the town of Cobh in County Cork, have strategically chosen 16 sites on a leisurely route around the old town perimeter, which takes 80 minutes and finishes in the centre of the town. The sites along the walking tour are only some of the dozens of historical landmarks on the Great Island of Cobh directly related to the Irish War of Independence.
Bookings can be made online, and larger groups or alternative times can be discussed via email or telephone.
The tour departs from outside Cobh Heritage Centre, adjacent to the train station, and end in the town square.

After the tour and a bite to eat, why not take a cruise up the River Lee to Cork City. The views are spectacular so keep a camera or sketchbook handy.
