Cleire Goats, on Cape Clear Island in West Cork, has a herd of 12 milking goats plus associated males and kids. Individual visitors are welcome to meet the goats at any time of year and organised groups are also catered for.

For many years the well known Cleire Goats farm, on the dramatically beautiful Cape Clear Island in West Cork, has welcomed visitors. Set against the stunning backdrop of Roaring Water Bay and the West Cork coastline, Cleire Goats has a herd of 12 milking goats plus associated males and kids.

Ice-cream, cheese, burgers and sausages are available from the farm shop. As part of the Cape Clear Lavender Initiative, they also produce lavender ice cream and lavender soap.

The farm offers practical courses in goat husbandry designed for people with little or no experience of goats to gain a basic understanding of the animal, its handling and management. The courses in goat husbandry are available all year and can be a part day, one day, two day or five day course. The courses can be booked online.
