In May 2019, the honour of a Swedish Royal visit was bestowed upon the Curtin family. King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden came to the Burren Smokehouse to learn about artisan food production in the Burren, and to taste their Burren Smoked Irish Organic Salmon.
