The Mullichain Café is part of the tastefully restored old grain store buildings that were used by the Grand Canal Company and then Odlums, the millers. The unique setting of Mullichain Cafe adds to the charming character of dining out by the river.
Guests can enjoy a wide selection of treats, including fresh scones and a morning coffee, or smoked salmon and a glass wine for lunch overlooking the changing tides of the River Barrow. The atmosphere in the café and surrounding area is very quiet and relaxing. The café is the perfect place to either stop in for a coffee or spend a lazy afternoon soaking up the natural beauty. In the loft, they display paintings by local artists and interesting books on mythology and Irish history.
Enjoy a variety of lovely walks starting and finishing at the Mullichain Café. Walkers may follow the Barrow tow path which is flat, or climb out of the valley towards Drummin Wood.
