Roundwood Caravan and Camping Park
More from visitors like you
Situated in the picturesque village of Roundwood, the Park is ideally positioned within easy reach of Dublin Port, Wexford Port, Dublin City, Glendalough Monastic site, Powerscourt House, Gardens & Waterfall and much more.

Roundwood Caravan and Camping Park is a 4 star Fáilte Ireland approved award winning Park, winner of Tripadvisor award of excellence 2013 and are delighted to welcome tourists from near and far. The site is fully lit at night and has 24-hour CCTV.

Located in the picturesque village of Roundwood which nestles in the surrounding National Park. Roundwood is the highest village in Ireland, at 235m above sea level. Roundwood has a lovely setting on the edge of the Wicklow Mountains. It is well supplied with pubs and restaurants and a variety of leisure activities. Local activities include hill and lake walks, cycling, mountain biking trails, equestrian activities, bird watching, deer spotting, and fishing. A photographers' heaven. Soak up the local history and unique atmosphere. Glendalough monastic settlement and round tower date back to 604ad.

High on a plateau, between sea and mountains, Roundwood’s development as a village dates only to the 18th century, although there is evidence of people living there as early as the bronze age. It was still new when it was the scene of a battle in 1798 between the United Irishmen under General Joseph Holt and the government troops. General Holt is commemorated in the region by a signed trail, following his exploits during the Rising. Rebuilding of the village after 1798 coincided with increasing tourist activity and the popularity for Dubliners of the beautiful lakes nearby and also of Glendalough, Roundwood being conveniently placed on the road between the two.
