Lough Key has, for many centuries, drawn people to its spectacular views, abundant wildlife, historic buildings, and evocative islands. This beautiful landscape in County Roscommon is steeped in a rich history and today serves as the backdrop for a cluster of unique attractions for modern day visitors, including the camping and caravan park.
The park is set within mixed woodland and provides pitches for 46 touring caravans with a separate area for tents. A newly renovated residents service and reception building provides a recreation room, toilets, showers and launderette, as well as an adjacent outdoor play area for children.
Lough Key Forest and Activity Park offers up plenty of activities and fun for everyone. Visitors can embark on the Lough Key Experience, an engaging audio trail of the park's history, moving through the 19th Century underground tunnels to the top of the refurbished five storey Moylurg viewing tower and along a contemporary tree canopy walk, the first of its kind in Ireland. Guests can try the innovative Boda Borg, containing challenging activities and puzzles for everyone. There’s also the outdoor adventure play kingdom, a safe and entertaining environment for children. Other activities in the park include Zipit Forest Adventures, Boat Tours, Bike Hire, and Woodland Segway Glides.
The caravan park is located in a secluded wooded area of the historic 350 hectare parkland estate.
