Ballyvolane House
Fermoy, Co. Cork
Ballyvolane House is an historic Irish country house that provides luxury accommodation and salmon fishing on the River Blackwater, located in the countryside of North Cork.

Ballyvolane House is a family owned period home. The house was originally built in 1728 for a Lord Chief Justice of Ireland, Sir Richard Pyne, as a classical Georgian home and modified 120 years later in an Italianate style. The house is situated on an estate of idyllic landscaped gardens and parkland. Being only 30 minutes drive north of Cork City and three hours drive from Dublin, Ballyvolane is highly accessible.

The sitting room, dining room and six luxuriously appointed bedrooms have views overlooking formal gardens, parklands and trout lakes. All of the guest bedrooms at Ballyvolane are individually furnished, and tastefully decorated. Each rooms has tea and coffee making facilities, WiFi, television and a wide selection of books and magazines. All rooms have en suite bathrooms, some of which have a large antique bath.

The food at Ballyvolane is of the country house style and is meticulously prepared by the house chef. The menus feature lots of good roasts, fresh and salt water fish, and game in season, supported by homegrown vegetables and fruit. Ballyvolane House is also home to award winning Bertha's Revenge Gin, Irelands' first milk gin that mirrors the field to fork philosophy practised at Ballyvolane House.

To keep little people entertained, there are vast grounds to get lost in, a tree house to play in, woods to explore, hens to feed, eggs to collect, donkeys to pet and lots more entertainment nearby such as Fota Wildlife Park, Blarney Castle and Leahy's Open Farm.
