Rough Magic's Children of the Sun makes its world premiere at the Abbey Theatre. Travelling across time and space from the 20th century to present day, the play is about how we stay afloat in a world saturated in uncertainty. It tells the story of how a small family, their odd rattlebag of friends and one quixotic stranger distract, entertain and enrage each other over a 24-hour period, while beyond their fragile walls their world is being reshaped by inexorable forces.
“If art has any purpose, it should make us feel better.”
Runs as part of Rough Magic’s 40th anniversary celebrations.
