There are some unmissable sights along the road on this heritage trail, including the medieval tower at Hook, that dates back 1000 years, and is one of the oldest operational lighthouses in the world. The trail leads to castles, churches and abbeys, battlefields, historic towns and villages, great houses and gardens, great forts and a wildfowl reserve.
